Ball Fitting With Club Fitting
Golf balls come in a variety of designs and performance characteristics and as a result usually vary in price. At SGGT we fit all our golf clubs with Titleist ProV1, ProV1x and AVX golf balls outdoors using Trackman to measure actual ball flight.
Titleist has a wide range of premium golf balls to choose from and each one has different benefits in terms of feel, spin, control and launch. As part of our custom fitting process, we conduct a short golf ball fitting service to recommend which of Titleist ball best suits the club you are being fitted for.
How SGGT Does Ball Fitting
Many people would probably go for the longest ball they can find, but the key to golf ball fitting is control. You need to use a ball that not only goes a long way, but also has the right amount of spin to stop quickly on landing and then have the feel and control around the green to get the ball into the hole. Therefore the ideal way to get the correct ball is to fit the ball to your irons and then fit the driver to the ball.
