Do you really know how far every club in your bag travels through the air and in total? Take the guesswork out of your game with our Trackman Gapping session to get precise yardages for every wood and iron you carry.
Using Trackman we take an average of a minimum of 5 shots per club to not only reveal how far they all go, but also ensure that you have the correct yardage gaps between each club.
If any club needs adjusting then we will do that as part of a Dynamic Loft and Lie check that is included with every Trackman Gapping session.
Gap fitting in golf ensures that there is a consistent gap in yardages between each of your golf clubs in your set. The ideal gap between irons is around 10-15 yards so that you can make a consistent swing with each club to hit the distance your need.
This will vary by player club head speed, but you can expect to see an extra 3 yards carry for each additional degree of loft you add to a golf club. Therefore if you have 4 degrees of loft between your clubs, the distance gap between then would be around 12 yards, which is ideal.
