Project X golf shafts are one of the most popular shaft brands in golf. The company that made them originally started making Rifle shafts in 1924. By the 1970s Rifle shaft were still being made by the Brunswick Golf company. The were renowned for being stepless steel shafts and were adopted as stock options for irons from 1999.
In 2002 they launched the Rifle Project X shaft for irons followed by one for woods in 2005. In 2006 the company was bought by True Temper who continue to make Project X shafts to this day.

Project X Wedge shafts
As well as iron shafts, Project X also offer a steel shaft for wedges to complement the corresponding iron shaft.
Our wedge fitting service uses premium golf balls outdoors on our grass range and around our chipping green, as well as Trackman for gap fitting in the studio in order to determine which Project X wedge shaft will blend in best with your irons.

The Project X wood shafts offer a wide range of performance and booking a Project X fitting session for woods in the Lyle Studio will find the right one for you. Together with details of your grip fitting and is passed to our in-house workshop to be created on site to the tightest tolerances.
