Titleist GTS Driver Review

The Titleist GTS driver uses a thermoform body to save weight and allow the new design to position it to increase performance right across the clubface.

The Proprietary Matrix Polymer (PMP) material was first used in the Titleist GT drivers and now accounts for 60% of the surface area of the club, but only 13% of the mass. Titleist can then use heavier denser materials low and forward to increase speed and further back to improve forgiveness.

The aerodynamics of the head is also improved to reduce drag so it moves through the air more quickly. This combines with a Speed Sync Face that uses variable face thickness to improve forgiveness on off-centre hits, especially higher on the face.

There are three different Titleist GTS driver models and expert fitters took our average swing speed golfer Bruce into the studio to see the differences and give their verdict in the video below.

Also joining the family are the Titleist GTS fairway woods that now feature a wraparound composite crown to lower the CG and improve forgiveness. There are two head shapes with the GTS2 featuring a shallower face and larger profile at address and the GTS3 having a smaller head with a deeper face.

Both also feature dual-weighting systems to adjust the CG location and our expert custom fitters can use these to dial in your fairway wood custom fitting to suit your swing.
