Why did Jaime decide to make the long trip from Dubai to SGGT Scotland in Edinburgh for a custom club fitting.

"Having seen videos on the SGGT YouTube channel with the wealth of materials and knowledge that the staff have here, it was a no brainer. Compared to similar companies where I live, there is not the same selection of options. The impartiality of SGGT means that they've got everything here."

SGGT fitter Aaron took him through the iron custom fitting service and using SGGT's unique 4,6,8,P options for every iron, settled on the Ping Blueprint S.

"In the longer irons we went for lighter 95g shafts for more speed and launch and in the shorter irons, the heaver 105g shafts. Having the choice of 4,6,8,P makes it much easier to establish that is the right thing to do in this case."

"In the wedge custom fitting we went with the Oban wedge shaft in the Ping S59 wedge and found a couple of lofts that were ideal for pitching."

Aaron continues: "For the driver custom fitting all we ended up doing was changing the shaft from Ventus to TPT, which delivered night and day performance.

Jaime was delighted with his new clubs and can't wait to have them delivered from SGGT's in-house workshop; "I was hitting driver significantly better than my current driver with a shaft that I could not have tried where I live. I am still in awe of the options. You can have Trackman and all the technology, but when you can see the ball fly and watch it land it is a massive improvement. Everything I hoped it would be, it's been."
