One thing SGGT is keen to point out is that we can help golfers of any age and swing speed improve their game with custom fitting. To demonstrate this, here is the Trackman screencast customer video we sent David following his driver custom fitting.

David has a swing speed of 78mph with his current Callaway XR driver and we were able to gain up to 30 yards extra distance with changes to the head, shaft and grip.

One of the first things we do is check the set up of David's current driver and whilst the head said 10.5°, when we measured the face it was actually nearer 12°.

He had a 44.25 inch shaft fitted with a Golf Pride Multi-Compound Plus 4 Midsize grip, which as it is heavier than a normal grip reduced the swing weight to C3.7. This set up is costing David distance and accuracy.

Our expert fitter James switched him into a TaylorMade Qi10 Max driver with 9° of loft to generate more ball speed from the same club head speed.

The shaft was a lighter, longer Accra FX 150 M2 and James switched custom grips in the fitting to a standard Lamkin with 2 layers of tape below the lower hand to give that thicker feeling without affecting the swing weight.

The result was a more accurate driver with on average 20 yards more carry, which was further than the total distance of his old one. His best drive was 30 yards longer so there is a lot of potential there for consistently longer and more accurate drives for David.

This is exactly how we conduct all our fittings and you will receive your own Trackman summary when you come for yours.
