The Titleist Vokey SM10 Wedge is the latest in a line that has been part of SGGT custom wedge fitting for many years.

The new version sees incremental improvements from the Titleist Vokey SM9 wedge as the emphasis continues to be on creating a more controlled lower flight. This is something our fitters have also been focussing on for a number of years as it actually generates more spin.

Visually there are The SM10 develops the progressive CG position of the SM9 with slightly tweaked head shapes and hosel lengths to keep the CG between grooves 2 and 5 for optimal strikes. In the lower lofts the CG is lower and it progressively moves up the face up as the lofts increases to reflect the different impact position.

The Vokey SM10 ranges comes in wide range of lofts from 46° to 62° with the TX9 groove width and depth varying according to loft. The lower lofts are more suited to full shots and these heads have narrower deeper grooves for more face contact with the ball. The higher lofts from 56° upwards have wider shallower grooves to enable sand, grass and moisture to be easily dispersed to generate more spin.

In custom wedge fitting the key decision is getting the right bounce to go with your chosen lofts. With the choice of F, S, M, K, T and D grinds the Vokey SM10 range is the most comprehensive and therefore getting professional advice is a must. As SGGT fit outside on grass, this process is easily done as different shafts and grips can be easily tested with any loft and grind.

New in the Vokey SM10 range is the M grind in the 54° wedge for a lower bounce strong lofted sand wedge. For those who like to send it higher, the 60° T grind replaces the previous L grind to offer 4° of bounce for those who have the skill to take it on.

The feel from the cast stainless steel heads is as good as always and with over 20 different specialist wedge shafts it will be easy to match set up of your wedges to your irons set.

As well as the Tour Chrome and Jet Black finish there is also a new Nickel finish (centre) available in SM10 which looks great too.
